DEVELOPING OUR PEOPLE
To support greater female representation, we held two women-only recruitment events in 2025 and aim for women to account for at least 30% of new crew hires in 2026.
We invest in the career development of our employees. Across the business, more than 1.7 million training hours were provided to our people in 2025.
We aim to provide equal opportunities and improve gender balance across our workforce. Women currently represent 54.9% of shoreside employees and 19.5% of onboard crew.
Our crew represented more than 135 nationalities in 2025, bringing a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to our business.
DEVELOPING OUR PEOPLE
CREW AND GUEST WELLBEING
We work continuously to help keep our people safe and secure and to ensure they have the support they need, onboard and ashore.
We manage crew working hours in accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). Our crew are fundamental to the effective operation of our business, and we want them to feel supported and engaged in their work.
The safety and security of crew and guests are also supported through compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, a globally recognised framework for maritime security.
CREW AND GUEST WELLBEING
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
We are aligning our diversity and inclusion approach with ISO 30415, Human resource management: Diversity and inclusion.
Diversity and inclusion support the resilience and long-term success of our workforce. Our Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee brings together colleagues from across the Cruise Division and external experts to help shape our approach.
We have also introduced a framework of diversity and inclusion learning programmes across shipboard and shoreside environments. We aim to align fully with ISO 30415 by the end of 2026.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE AND SECURE
All crew receive safety training, including induction, fire, man-overboard and abandon-ship drills, as well as role-specific instruction.
We operate a Safety Management System (SMS) aligned with applicable international requirements. External auditors review the system annually onboard and ashore.
Crew members must complete required safety training and assessments before joining a ship. Duties with specific safety responsibilities require additional training. Guests take part in the mandatory safety process before the ship’s departure.
Our fleet and relevant shoreside sites operate food-safety management systems certified to ISO 22000.
KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE AND SECURE
ACCESSIBILITY AND MEDICAL PROVISIONS
We continue to strengthen accessibility provision onboard.
Our pre-boarding accessibility and medical forms enable guests to provide more detailed information about mobility, respiratory, cognitive and dietary needs so that appropriate support can be considered.
Our ships have medical facilities for guests and crew, staffed by qualified doctors and nurses, with care available around the clock onboard. Support ranges from general consultations to emergency care.
Trained Public Health Compliance Officers across the fleet conduct checks on drinking-water quality and recreational-water facilities and review food-safety protocols.
