Your Cruise Card or MSC for Me wristband eliminate the need to carry cash on board, giving you ‘tap-and-sign in’ access to all products and services. After you embark and within the first 48 hours, you can activate it using your preferred payment method, or leave a cash deposit at Reception - Guest Service. Please remember to bring your credit/debit card and PIN code, and ensure your card is enabled for use abroad. After embarking and collecting the Cruise Card or MSC for Me Wristband from your cabin, you should activate it for onboard purchases by self-registering your credit/debit/prepaid card at any time from embarkation until 23:00 the following day. You can do this independently at any of the Cruise Card Activation Points located around the ship. These new devices let you register your card simply, rapidly and securely. Please note that you may be asked to enter the PIN number, if active on your Credit card. Alternatively, you can leave cash deposit at the Reception - Guest Service. The payment methods are:
Credit Card

The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Diners, JCB, Discover and American Express. It will be registered and linked to your onboard account while on board (you may be asked for pre-authorization). One copy of your bill will be delivered to your cabin the night before disembarkation and your onboard account will be closed automatically at the end of the cruise, so there is no need to go to Reception - Guest Service. The chosen payment method can’t be changed on the last day of cruise.

Debit card

The following debit cards are accepted: Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard debit. You should make sure that your debit/prepaid card is enabled for use abroad; if yes, you may be asked for a PIN. You can top up your onboard account by a direct transaction at one of the Cruise Card Activation Points. The debit/prepaid card will not be linked to your account, and any remaining balance on the onboard account will reimbursed from the Reception - Guest Service, in the onboard currency, on the disembarkation day.


You can Top up your onboard account by depositing a minimum amount of € 250 per cabin, € 150 per person at the Reception - Guest Service. On the disembarkation day the onboard account have to be settled. Any remaining balance will reimbursed, in the onboard currency. Any difference can be paid to the Reception - Guest Service or to avoid the queue, you can simply go to any of the Cruise Card Activation Points to settle with the credit/debit card (instead of cash). Please note that personal cheques are not accepted.
