Cruise Director

Daniela De Nicola

Having graduated in Linguistics with fluent English, French and Spanish, as well as basic German in addition to her mother tongue, Italian, Daniela went on to work as a Tour Guide, accompanying tour groups around the world for two years. Already equipped with a Receptionist’s Certificate, she worked in this capacity at a law firm for three years until the travel bug bit again - with a show-time difference - when she joined MSC Cruises as an Entertainer in 2004.

Daniela’s talents were promptly recognised and rewarded with promotion to Assistant Chief Entertainer and then Chief Entertainer, both in 2005, followed by Assistant Cruise Director in 2007 and Cruise Director in 2010.

A one-year break ashore at MSC’s Sorrento office brought valuable additional experience and responsibilities as an Enrichment Programme and Social Hostess Coordinator, which Daniela uses to great effect, enhancing our guest experience aboard. But it’s the passion she brings to everything she does that makes such a difference.

As she says: “I love traveling and meeting new people. That’s why I think this is the best job in the world!”
